Membership

Imago Dei Church practices meaningful congregational membership. Membership identifies those who have entered into a bond of commitment with the church, and who our Elders will give an account for. We take seriously our call to care for each other, to have recognized elders who lead well and who know by name the people they are called to lead. (Heb 13:17).

What does the membership process look like?

STARTING POINT: A MONTHLY LUNCH

Everyone interested in plugging into Imago Dei should first go to Starting Point: a monthly lunch where you can meet our leaders, hear more the story of Imago Dei, and ask any questions you might have. There is no commitment to membership by attending this meeting, it’s simply a place to learn more and figure out next steps.

MEMBERSHIP CLASS

If interested in membership, sign up for Membership Class, a three session look at our doctrine and practices.

INTERVIEW

After finishing the class, a prospective member will schedule an interview with an elder to make sure there is clarity on the gospel and clarity on what membership means.

INTRODUCTION TO THE CONGREGATION

The elders will pray over that prospective member and then present them before the congregation to be received into the membership of Imago Dei.

*Attending either Starting Point or even Membership Class does not commit you to membership. These are informal meetings that help you understand what Imago Dei is all about.
