The Seed Project
Plant churches. Water with care. Watch God work.
We believe God has been raising us up as a church to be a hub church for the Gateway Cities of LA—a church that helps plant churches, strengthens existing churches, and then sits back and watches God work as He moves in our generation.
To that end, we’re launching the Seed Project.
The Seed Project is an initiative to raise $750,000. This may seem like a large amount, but against the scope of our needs and the cities that surround, this is just a small seed. We believe this is a first step toward walking in the vision God has placed before us.
We are trusting God to take this small seed and bring about a dramatic increase: thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold, just as Jesus described.
We want to invite you to participate and to help take responsibility for this mission. This is something we get to do together as a church.
Let’s plant. Let’s water. And let’s watch God work.
Plant
Church planting is at the heart of our mission, so the first $100,000 of The Seed Project won't stay in Bellflower – it's going out to plant churches.
Imago Dei Huntington Park — continuing the work already underway in tough, fallow ground.
Seed money for Imago Dei Whittier — a growing number of our people already drive in from Whittier, and we want to be ready for when it’s time to plant there.
A partner church plant in Puebla, Mexico — through our Acts 29 network.
This is more than we've ever given away in a single Celebrate Generosity Sunday.
Water
A faithful gardener also tends to what is already growing. As we scale, we want our hospitality and welcome to scale with us. The remaining Seed Project funds will go toward:
Welcome: clear signage and an easy, accessible kids' check-in, so nothing distracts people from meeting Jesus.
Gathering: remodeling our social hall and refreshing paint, lighting, and media across our ministry spaces.
People: growing our staff. Specifically, a new full-time pastor so that we keep caring well for people as we grow.
Watch
All of this is just a seed. A day may come when we launch an initiative for millions. For now, this is a chance to build our faith: to plant what God has put in our hands, and watch what God will do.

The Seed Project calls for equal sacrifice, not equal giving. We are calling every person in our community to ask God what it looks like for them to participate sacrificially and in faith.
Our goal is not simply to raise money. We want to cultivate a culture of faith-filled, courageous generosity as we join generations of people who have invested in the mission of God in Southeast LA.

The first $100,000 will go beyond Bellflower to help plant and strengthen new churches:
Imago Dei Huntington Park
Seed funding for the next Imago Dei church plant
A partner church plant in Puebla, Mexico through our Acts 29 network
The remainder will help us care for and strengthen what God is growing here:
Welcome: clear, professional signage and an accessible kids' check-in
Gathering: remodeling our social hall and refreshing paint, lighting, and media throughout our ministry spaces
People: strengthening our staff team so we can continue caring well for people as we grow
Our hope is not simply to improve a facility, but to create spaces and capacity for hospitality, community, discipleship, and church planting.
